The section is found in ICC specification.
'annex B' of 'ICC specification' has a section titled as 'embedding ICC
profiles in GIF files'
Kindly clear me in this regard.

You embebed the profile to say what colours the numbers of the file
means.

Think this: you have to paint the door of your house. And you select a
pink and a yellow paint. Mixup them in 3 parts of pink and 1 part of
yellow. Pretty color. Now, two years later you decide repair the
painting. You purchase pink paint and yellow paint, mixup 3 parts of one
with 1 of the other and... you realizae than the paints come from
different fabricants. So the pink is not the same pink you use two years
later.

Numbers in a file say the amount of each color. But do not say WHAT
color are. The profile is laike to say what in the REAL color the
numbers measure.
