Ludovico, the problem is two folded. One part is that glibs has problems with wchar_t multibyte characters on linux. This affects littleCMS. The other thing is, that CinePaint passes a zero length string, comming from lcms, to Gtk. Gtk seems to segfault then and crashes CinePaint. I guess the same happens in other Gtk applications, like Gimp or Inkscape.
