No no, it is a very complete test that checks many individual things. The idea to have such a big test suit that would check every single feature of the library. Then, each time a bug is fixed or new functionality is being added, the test bed should be execute to make sure all keeps working. It is one of the principles of agile paradigm (which I am a fervent non-beliver, but it has some good things). The actual testsuite does include programatical checks and I plan to include plots as well.
