Using the utilities, at first, I want to convert from US Web Coated (SWOP) to
sRGB and preserve black text. Meaning K=100% results in rgb(0,0,0).
My understanding is that I need to do this via DeviceLink Profile. I tried:
Linkicc -oDL_cmykToSrgb -n17 -t11 -8 usWebCoatedSwop.icc *sRGB
And this produced a file. But when I tried
Tifficc -lDL_cmyKToSrgb cmyk.tif outRGB.tif
I get the error "Couldn't link profiles"
Am I using the utilities incorrectly or am I missing some color/device-link
fundamentals (ie lack of understanding) that prevents this from working?
Any help would be much appreciated,
