Marti, sorry, I'm not sure I understand your answer. My intention is gray with L*, not Linear gray (Gamma 1.0), using the cmsBuildGamma would give me a gamma 1.0 response curve, though - at least when used with cmsCreateGrayProfile, right? Or am I missing something?
