Hello everyone, I am using openldap-2.2.13-2 package available by default with Fedora core 3. I am fairly new to Linux and networking, but learning a lot. I am required to use OpenLDAP for user management and later to implement virtual organisation using the same.
2.2.13 is very very old. If you are going to be running a directory server, I would recommend using a newer release. 2.2.13 should be fine as far as client libraries are concerned.
I have been reading the OpenLDAP guide and various sources from the Internet. I have to develop a GUI for ldap, something like an LDAP browser using JNDI classes. Could someone tell me whether the steps I mention here for user management are correct?
You might look at Jxplorer and save yourself some time. --Quanah -- Quanah Gibson-Mount Principal Software Developer ITS/Shared Application Services Stanford University GnuPG Public Key: http://www.stanford.edu/~quanah/pgp.html --- You are currently subscribed to [email protected] as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word UNSUBSCRIBE as the SUBJECT of the message.
