Just one hint (which I belatedly thought of) regarding the padl.com
libraries and Solaris: Be sure to use the shipped version of Berkeley DB
when building the padl.com things (if at all possible). Else you will
end up with two incompatible bdb Versions within the same address space
for every Solaris program that uses bdb itself and then maps the
pam_ldap library - no fun. The case might not come up but don't bank on
it. I do hope that Solaris 9/10 comes with header files for its
preferred bdb libraries (8 didn't).
