Download and set up OpenDS on your laptop. Takes 5 minutes, runs
anywhere Java runs.

Andrew,
I read your "[ldap] Writing Access Control Policies for LDAP". I
scanned through some of your other papers at http://www.skills-1st.co.uk/papers/afindlay.html
. First, excellent papers and information. Second, the format
reminds me of the way my Professors kept pushing me to right my
papers correctly in the last 4 years(2003-'08) of obtaining my
Masters degree. You were using abstracts back in 1990. The reason
I am responding is because of the paper on "Setting up an X.500
Directory Service" written 1990. Time has changed because everyone
should have access to the internet in 2009. After seeing the
following statement I have a question:
If you have access to the Internet or an established X.25 network
the Directory User Agents can be tested by connecting to somebody
else’s DSA e.g.: dish -c giant
Question to anyone or Andrew:
Is there an LDAP directory available on the internet to connect to
for LDIF's and practicing?
Thanks,
Ty
