Hi, If your want to add a disk to the Ldom, where you can install Solaris: I would rather put the Ldom into a file which is located on top of the free disk place. To do so: mkfile 10G /ldoms/name-of-ldom ldm add-vdsdev /ldoms/name-of-ldom vol2 at primary-vds0
You should also read the blueprint on ldoms, which you can get here: http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0207/820-0832.html -Christopher Per Bakke wrote: > Hi > > I haven't had the time to test this but creating a "raw device" on zfs > should work unless the vdisk require the "disk" to be a physical unit > that shows up in format. > > Just take the remaining space on your bootdisk and create a zpool on it. > > # zpool create ldoms cxtxdxp0 > (according to your disks or cxtxdxp2 if a partition) > > > # zfs create -V 10G ldoms/ldom1 > (or you can use other name) > > This device will then be /dev/zvol/dsk/ldoms/ldom1 > > > > > On 7. jan.. 2008, at 06.19, Jayakrishna wrote: > >> Hi , >> I have a T1000 server with only one hard disk , I have installed >> Solaris OS in 20GB Hard disk space, this Sol instance will be the >> Control domain , my doubt is how to allocate the remaining free disk >> to Guest domain , could any body help me on this . >> >> Thank u in advance. >> >> Regards >> Jkrishna >> -- >> This message was posted from opensolaris.org >> _______________________________________________ >> ldoms-discuss mailing list >> ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org >> http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > <http://www.sun.com/solaris> * Per Bakke * > *Sun Microsystems AS* > Sognsveien 75, Postboks 3851 Ullev?l > OSLO N-0805 Norway > Phone x43729/+47 23 36 96 00 > Mobile +4798255055 > Fax x43729 > Email Per.Bakke at Sun.COM > <http://www.sun.com/solaris> > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > ldoms-discuss mailing list > ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss > -- Mvh / Best Regards Christopher Haugen Sun Microsystems, Inc.
