Not correct actually.
Firmware 8.0.x will be the version used on all T3 systems. That is the
minimum necessary firmware on T3 systems, and thus is also the minimum
version required by OVM SPARC on T3 systems.
For T2 and T2+ based systems, we strongly recommend running Firmware
7.3.x with OVM SPARC 2.0. This updated firmware release will be made
available shortly. If you read the release notes for OVM SPARC 2.0,
you'll note that only the T3-1 platform is listed as supported. This
will change over the next several weeks as the additional T3 platforms,
as well as all T2 and T2+ platforms complete qualification testing and
the notes will be updated to reflect additional platform support. This
staggered platform rollout strategy is highly unusual, and is a result
of the OpenWorld timing this year. It will all sort itself out in just
a few weeks so bear with us please.
As for running OVM SPARC 2.0 on 7.2.x firmware w/ T2 and T2+ systems,
yes it will work but you will not have the following key features as a
result:
PCIe Direct IO
Migration enhancements in OVM SPARC 2.0 (i.e. cooperative guest migration)
Memory DR
We work very hard to maintain backward compatibility to older firmware
but realize there is very little benefit in upgrading to OVM SPARC 2.0
without also upgrading the firmware, and we highly recommend running the
latest firmware at all times.

That is correct.... lol

I was able to download it early last week from the Oracle
E-Delivery website...which didn't help since apparently it's only
supported by firmware 8.0.0 which isn't out yet for T2...
