Hello,

I am trying to setup LDOM in more fault tolerant way, and hope someone could
help me with this long list of queries.

1. My understanding is, when primary domain goes down all guests drops its
network and SAN connection. Looks like alternate i/o domain is the solution
for this issue. Please suggest if there is another way.

2. Could someone provide some documentation on creating alternate i/o domain
on T5440 host.

3. VCS installed in control domain doesn't seem to support Alternate i/o
domain . Looks like when VCS is configured to failover guests, failure of
primary or its resources like network or storage would trigger failover of
the guests, and an alternate i/o domain is not really required. Please
correct if I am wrong.

4. Can I configure VCS to Failover of 'guest domain and application' while
guest domains are booting off internal disks. Book says both ldoms must boot
from shared san disk. This configuration is mentioned in the book as "VCS is
installed in the control domain of each node, and single node VCS is
installed on each guest domain."

5. While using the above vcs configuration, can guests have its root disk as
ufs or zfs ? Does symantec support it ?

Thanks in advance
Arjun
