Hello,
I am using LDom 2.1. It seems the commands for “Live Migration” are the same as
that for “Warm
Migration”.
The man-page and the Admin Guide do not seem to be having separate option to
the “ldm
migrate-domain” command to separate Warm Migration from Live Migration.
Doubts:

 1. Has “Warm Migration” been discontinued with LDom 2.1?
If yes, would like to know why.

The best way of looking at "live" migration is a vastly improved version of "warm" migration. Instead of suspending the guest domain at the start of the migration, the domain remains up and running while the memory contents are copied to the target (and the source machine tracks what changes are being made in the guest domain during the migration so that those bits can be resent) Then for approx one second at the end the domain is suspended while the remaining modified state is copied.

 2. Is there no way to “Warm Migrate” an LDom with LDom 2.1?

There is no command line switch to ldm(1m) that would perform a "warm" migration rather than a live migration.

 3. Is LDom 2.0 the last supported version for “Warm Migration of LDoms”

A warm migration can still happen with the 2.1 LDoms Manger if a live migration is not possible (e.g. if the systems had a downrev version of system firmware)

I'd be interested in hearing a reason why a user would prefer "warm" migration over "live" migration though.

Regards,
Liam
