One thing that we must remember is that when we record information on our own personal computers is that it is confidential. Imagine if a malicious person got ahold of the temple recommend list for your ward. This could be disasterous and quite embarassing to many. The question arises also of what information you should keep and for how long. I don't know the answer to this but remember that every five years or so a new bishop is called. Should we remember the sins of someone many years ago? On some issues we need to have a veil of forgetfulness come over us when the issue is resolved. I think part of that is not having an electronic copy.

Hi all,

I’m new to your list and have just been called as Executive Secretary. I use a tablet pc at meetings.

I am wondering if there is any software that I can use that will generate reports like the “Bishop Action and Interview List” and temple recommend expiration dates. Ideally, having the MLS software on my tablet would be nice, but I don’t know if that is allowed.

Also, I could use a conversion program that would export into Microsoft Outlook member names, addresses, phone numbers, email, b-days, and children.

This list looks like a great resource for us all, I’m glad to be here.

Thanks,

Jeff Raymond
