My own 2 pence worth on this issue

Any computer using MLS stays off the internet.  When changes are made, it 
connects via a direct-dial VPN to Sollihole (or however they spell the UK's 
records place).  Nothing goes out over the 'net.

We've got a wifi connection at the chapel as well, but that's only for the 
Family History computers.  But that's a moot point as our phone lines are a 
mess, our phone bill went to the wrong address, and our broadband is 
nonexistant.  Ain't technology great?
