The church is moving carefully, but I can assure you that the referenced suggestion (open API for those who have forgotten the context) is being actively discussed and considered at the CIO level. In fact, multiple notes from this email thread were read and discussed yesterday in a meeting with the CIO focused on how the church can leverage resources outside of its internal IT organization.
