I wasn’t the person who wrote the Wiki entry, but I’ll weigh in with my opinion. I think the church is open, in nearly all situations, to consider employing people who do not live in SLC, and this job is probably not an exception. For this job, half of the work will entail interacting with the distributed developer community * certainly something that can be done from anywhere. The other half will entail interacting with the internal IT shop at the church and to be effective in this role it will be advantageous to be proximate.
