BTW, I heard back from the owner of the LDSChinese website. He said that they were not posted by the church, but by someone else. That being the case, .... The church still stands firm on copyright. I have a close relative who makes LDS films and asked the church if he could use the church's picture of Jesus (the one with the red robe) in a religious, but non-church film. Despite this being used in nearly every meeting house and for sale at Deseret Book, he was not given permission. FWIW... If the church really did upload these, then they'd probably want them kept in a more general and/or non-company specific format. Um, aren't the videos that The Church has on its website in Windows(R) video format? Isn't that pretty company specific? The rest of your reasoning makes sense though, and it could be that it was just some well meaning person with a pretty good collection of LDS videos that uploaded all those to Google Video.
