I've only been watching this list for a little while, so if this has been mentioned before, I apologize.

Also, I don't mean for this message to just be a complaint, I'm actually hoping someone who sees this is in a position to notify someone of the problem. If any of you have observed this problem and know who to report it to, please pass the word along that if it hasn't been fixed yet, it really ought to be.

For a period of several months, I was in charge of sending a weekly email (through the ward website) to my entire ward with announcements, calendar for the week, etc. When I would "send" the email, the website would tell me it had been sent successfully, and I would even get a confirmation to my email address that it had been successfully sent. However, the email actually only got sent out about half of the time. I always had to send, wait a few minutes to see if it came to my own email, and then if it didn't, I had to do it over again, wait again to see if I got it, and sometimes even send it a third time, and wait again to make sure it came.

At first I suspected that maybe the system was just not sending it to me because I was the one sending it, but I verified with several other people that the email had, in fact, not been sent out to them, either, when I hadn't gotten it.

Once I realized that the system didn't always work, I was able to do damage control by typing the email in an editor and copy-paste into the web interface. The first couple times were painful, though, since I had to type the (long) messages all over again. I "reported" the problem, but I don't know if the report ever made it to anyone that could do something about it. The same problem still existed several months after I reported it. I don't know if it has been fixed since then, because I have not been responsible for the emails for a few months now (since about May of this year).

Again, I don't mean for this message to be a complaint if nobody here is in a position to do something about it, but if you know who to report it to, please pass the word along. Thanks.
