I seem to recall something like:
Ping type 4: Ping returns immediately with "Destination (host|net) is
unreachable". A router between your sending machine and the destination
has responded that it does not know how to transmit the ping packet any
further toward the destination.
I don't recall encountering this myself in troubleshooting my own router,
but I have seen it when accessing incompletely configured sites on the
Internet. This could (?) occur when testing a new LRP box from a machine
in the LAN.
