well, that's a nice work (you're one step ahead!), a good easy to use set of
do_it_all scripts...

but what I'm trying to build is a full stateful
drop_based_protects_from_every_attack rule set! 
just plain iptables commands! :)
from there on one might include them in the basic shorewall built in config.
(some are already there)

but for now, I just want to compile a strong iptables rule set.
I've been merging rules from every how-to and alikes that I find.
