I must say, I don't care for these.  Seems too messy to me.

What about a shell script which runs as a client or a server depending
on which way it's called?  It would fit into all four categories.

What about a server written in C that only runs from inetd?  That
would fit almost nowhere.

I do like "net" as it describes the function of the program.  So what
if everything falls under there?  At least a category like net would
separate things like zebra out from things like xinetd or lilo - I've
at least tried to compile all three.

The only unresolved question I would have is - what about glibc-2.1
and glibc-2.2 compiled binaries?
