To all,
It would appear that the LRP project itself did not get dragged into the mud
on /. or any of the major Linux sites, so in that sense it would seem Dave's
actions created nothing more than a tempest in a teapot.
While I am still willing to sign and send out an open letter, I believe it
is probably unnecessary. If any of you dissagree, please say so, and I will
be the first to join on.
We have another choice, of course, and that would be to publicize the
dissagreement, send the letter out and let the chips fall.
Personally, I am going to join the numerous folks who have left the list,
and leave it at that unless something else breaks.
I guess at this point I would like to ask Mike if he thinks we should have a
show of (electronic) hands and either put it to bed or go forward.
If any of you would like to use the draft that I floated earlier as part of
your own comment, either to LRP list or to anyone else, please consider the
draft GPL'd I guess :).
Morgan Reed
P.S. I guess the next step will be spreading the word that the LRP truly
lives on in LEAF, and making sure that new users know to visit us on
sourceforge.
P.P.S. what steps have been taken to store and or mirror sourceforge locally
should VA Linux go away?
