I love Emacs too - that's the problem.  I got spoiled using real Emacs
on a HP Apollo for a while - never left Emacs, even though X was
available.

However, there's not one decent powerful and complete Emacs clone for
numerous operating systems - but vi is small enough it runs everywhere
and many clones are quite complete.  Most Emacs clones are a shadow of
the real thing, and the Real Thing is in the tens of megabytes and
requires LOTS of memory.

After all, what do you expect from something whose icon is an
overflowing kitchen sink?  :-)
