Anyone read the column ("Last Rage") from Jordan Hubbard in this month's
Open Magazine? It appears to be a column with different authors each
month on some issue.
Jordan was one of the founders of the FreeBSD Project, and as you might
imagine, he has a few things to say about the GPL - and this was the
content of his column.
You might also take a look at an article, "BSD Down Wind River", about
Wind River Technologies buying software assets of BSDi, including BSD/OS
- as well as supporting FreeBSD development. Just like Caldera bought
SCO (and almost every AT&T derived license in existance...), Wind River
is bringing the commercial and the open source together. Jordan Hubbard
is one of the leaders of Wind River.
An interesting read....
