Yes -- been there done that.  However, is that any excuse for us to be
lackluster and careless?!?!

If we cannot standardize, while dealing with a small, embeddable
platform, what hope is there for the rest of the world?

Of course, as I'm finding with net-snmp, it is not always easy --
possible? -- to put files wheresoever we like ;<
