Ray,
You proposed this change in a discussion between our project admins on 
2001-04-01. Your reasoning was sound at the time, and it's still valid. 
Possible alternative meanings for "F" are:

   * Forge
   * Framework
   * Foundation
   * Fixture
   * Foundry

Are there any other suggestions for "F"?

I suggest we work on docid_1396.html in cvs for the next couple of months. 
This should allow a consensus to build around any proposed changes. We can 
submit them to SF in one support request this way.
