I guess that my doc on creating a Bootable Bering is indeed hi-tech :) But, the reason I choose to make it with isolinux was that it was (for me) the best/pratical way of having a bootable CD. Things are a LOT easier to develop if you don't have a floppy image. As for compatibility, I have tried it on a very old Socket7 mainboard I had lying around with a very old, no-rw CDROM and it worked. If someone wants to create a doc describing how to boot Bering from a CDROM using syslinux, I'm ok with that. I will include it on the doc as an alternate method.
