Tom had indicated his willingness to work with someone so as to have shorewall working with bridged configuration. I did some initial research. It looks like we need to use etables to force packets up one layer so that iptables can operate on them. I have sent the info to Tom. Can someone compile etables for Bering 1.0 so that I can use it? Similar request for the IMQ interface.
Similarly, for TC, it would be good if all the netfilter modules are packaged into an lrp as they have greater than 8.3 name format. I think it will be useful and pose lesser problems as there are so modules to load in one shot.
