Hello,

I made a bootable bering CD based on the v1.1 floppies and am trying to
improve the CD config. Any help in accomplishing the tasks below would
be greatly appreciated.

Tasks:
1. Default backup parameters
Set the default package backup settings to be /dev/fd0 msdos and partial
for all packages (except initrd). This seems to be handles in the
following files:
/var/lib/lrpkg/backdisk
/var/lib/lrpkg/<package name>.bktype

These packages appear to be created dynamically (not in root.lrp but in
root.exclude.list). What script creates these?

2. Console definition
Console needs to be defined in isolinux.cfg. Is there any way to define
this from a file on the floppy while booting from CD (maybe similiar to
the way lrpgk.cfg is handled)?

Alternatively is there any way to have console output to both tty1 and
ttyS0?

3. Packages for CD distro
I am currently making my CD iso image for a combination VPN
device/Firewall. To make this more secure I am leaving out any package
that allows packet capture (including ulogd). This may not be what most
people want for there home bering CD router. If there is a list of
packages people desire in a bering CD version, I can package this and
create an iso image. It may be beneficial to some people to have a
bering CD version to download and burn.

Any information on these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

        Trev
