Hello,

I am trying to get the virtual environment working.
My first goal is to compile a newer version of linux-wlan-ng
modules and utilities. I have the woody virtual machine
running and I set up the 2.4.20 kernel and pcmcia 3.2.3
according to http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/bdkernel.html
and used Bering_1.0-stable.config and make oldconfig for the
configuration.

Unfortunately the wlan-ng modules that I compile in this
environment crash shortly after initializing and take the
whole machine with them. I suspect that the reason is that
I don't have the exact same kernel - e.g. the version
of wireless extensions is 14 whereas the modules
in Bering_1.0-stable_modules_2.4.20.tar.gz seem to be
compiled with version 15.

At this time I would like to only compile the wlan modules
and not the whole kernel and all modules. This should be
possible provided the configuration and kernel sources stays
the same. Is there a snapshot of these data in the version
that was used for modules in Bering_1.0-stable_modules_2.4.20.tar.gz
somewhere?

Please Cc: the replies to me, I am not subscribed to the list.

Thanks
