I suppose there are two possible such keys: (1) On the OSX maxhine: I think so, in that it works OK for public-key authentication into my other linux box. I assume this would not be looked at anyway, though the private key might. (Did I just post my private key on the internet? Yikes! I'll have to check tonight. Thank goodness for firewalls.) (2) On the Bering router. Here I have not set up a public key scheme yet. I am still password authenticating. > Could you send the > output of ssh -vvv, so I can see where the error is occurring? Sure, I'll do that when I get home, and let you know what I see. > > -------------- snip ------------------ > > # key_read: uudecode > > AAAAB3Nza..... > > > > failed > > -------------- snip ------------------ > > > > > > perhaps worth mentioning that I am logged in to root via password > > authentication. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ leaf-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-devel
