But even for the SOHO/floppy user, having the two-step, more expansive
initial configuration process that would be more user friendly and
helpful would be a big advantage.  I still remember my first attempts at
getting Bering running--and I haven't switched to uClibc because I don't
particularly want to do it again.

Well, there ARE advantages to having your border guardians as simple as
possible.  Layered if necessary.

Oh, yes.  I'm convinced there's still a need for floppy implementations
of LEAF for SOHO users.

I think we all benefit from the needs at both ends of the spectrum.  I'd
hate to see either abandoned.  For a SOHO user, LEAF on an abandoned old
machine is wonderful.  Sure, you can buy firewalls, but, again, there is
an advantage to having an uncommon configuration--look at Windows!
