It's doing the stuff that's part of "./buildtool.pl source" for uclibc - and that causes the host gcc to be invoked, which can't be found, hence make quits. What does "which gcc" say on your box (as user leaf)? It seems to me like there's no gcc in the path of user leaf on your box.
