At least I think that I fix almost all packages that were fixable by simple operations (was broken due to paths trouble, or due to need of small makefile modification), and update some critical-looking packages (like e2fsprogs). There is one major broken package due to unknown reason (possibly - conflict with fresh uClibc) - mysql, and some kernel-dependent packages like hostapd that needs update. Now I trying to rebuild from scratch to ensure that I didn't miss anything.
Due to packages exploration, I have questions about some features that are currently off in kernel config, and that are needed by some packages: 1) Paging (swap) - is it really needed on such lightweight distro, and with current memory pricing? 2) PCMCIA - somebody use (or will use) it? I don't know how actual it is in such applications. P.S. dosfstools I didn't fix because it isn't much important for testing, and will be replaced later by busybox (I planned to compile it as splitted executables with shared library for minimize memory usage and avoiding usage 3rd-party packages that have busybox analogues. like mawk, e2fsprogs, etc) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ leaf-devel mailing list leaf-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-devel
