Just dropping a note to whoever's interested, I've got the M-Systems 8mb DiskOnChip 2000 that came in the PC104 box so generously donated by Scott C. Best to boot LRP 2.9.8 using the howto by Johan Ugander. Thank you, Scott and Johan. Now I'll be able to easily work on getting PCMCIA working. I have a PCMCIA 10bt (I think ne2k-compatible) and a Lucent Wavelan card to get working. First, though, will be to get PCMCIA support _gracefully_ setup. Now, question: Can the cardmgr be circumvented? My understanding of cardmgr is that it's purpose is to detect insertion and removal of cards; however, for _most_ LEAF purposes, it would seem unnecesary to have that functionality. I'll probably be working on this for the next four hours or so, and maybe a few hours tomorrow morning (EST). If you're around, feel free to meet me in ICQ (my ICQ number is in my .sig) or at irc.angrypacket.com channel #31337, and help me figure things out. :) -- rick -- A mind is like a parachute... it only works when it's open.
