I am on Shaw@Home in Calgary, Canada. I just upgraded to Dachstein CD and did not have to add anything to the dhclient config. The firewall still works fine. As a data point, it is with an old beige Motorola Cybrsurfer cable modem. I used to have tons of intermittent problems I thought were DHCP related (PC light on cable modem wouldn't light) that went away when I switched from generic to 3COM ISA NIC's.
