Thanks for the input folks! I've discovered that the Cisco 678 is the router that Qwest recommends. They want $300 for it. Sort of defeats my idea of setting up something on the cheap. I have seen these on auctions for as much as $150 though. Building my own driver is a bit beyond my expertise. I may try Francisco's suggestion.
