I think Charles hit the nail on the head. To ensure compatiblity with Windows9x/ME OS's via telnet, ssh, and virtual terminal the system is going to have to adapt to ALL_CAPS. What really stuck me as strange was the constant lag ........It could have been dealing with another of several dns floods and http syn floods I was having yesterday, but everything has been fine since (except for some random ip's SYN'ing ports 18, 21, and 23). I may have to setup LaBrae on the other test network to cool down some of these interested parties. I didn't implicitly state this earlier, but after thoroughly going through the system there was _no_ indication of any outside access. I checked sizes of files against a backup copy and all configuration .... it was not compromised .. just a couple of behavioral things I found unusual. -- ~Lynn Avants aka Guitarlynn guitarlynn at users.sourceforge.net http://leaf.sourceforge.net If linux isn't the answer, you've probably got the wrong question! _______________________________________________ Leaf-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user
