I have considered it, but they don't seem to be mainstream, and secondly, 
aren't
necessarily going to be worked on or supported in the future. I always 
thought they
were still in experimental/development stage?

Further, I would expect linux to more readily support wireless cards than 
power-line cards...

If it's more expensive, and it's slower, I really don't see much point in 
using power-line
devices.
