Bering is easy to install. I began about 45 ago and think am fairly adept at creating bering configurations. The docuumentaion is good and I did not have any problems. Start with the documentation given by the bering team. It works as promised - no hitches. Do not worry about PPPoE right now. I do not see where it figures in your network. LEAF will be a router routing your downstream class C address to the Internet like a CISCO router. It would help if you plan a network, lay it out and freeze that first. LEAF will plug in between your network and the Internet connection to perform bandwidth management.
If you provide a start point, we could help. WISP does not neccesarily mean wireless needs to be used. None of this network would be wireless (its at a datacenter/carrier hotel). I was looking at the bering install/users guide at: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/jnilo/busers.html I'm not really even sure where to begin. I have never done networking at this level. I guess it would be the PPPoE configuration since they would be giving me a block or two of 255 IPs to start & a 100mbit ethernet line... right? I'm just trying to figure out where to start reading. - Kaz _________________________________________________________________ Join the world's largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
