Thanks for the effort. I tried it, but it did not make much of a difference in my case. You may want to consider setting a few compile parameters differenly, e.g. I believe the dhclient script lives in /etc on bering. Thanks anyway, unfortunately my problem has not gone away yet, I may have to play a little with the dhclient script, see if I get any input data at all and possibly looking for different network drivers.
