I remember seeing your original post, but can't find an copy
anywhere.  Are you using the wlan-ng drivers?  When using a
full install, the configuration is of wlan-ng cards are handled
via /etc/pcmcia/wlan-ng and /etc/pcmcia/wlan-ng.opts.  Not sure
if that will help in your case.

I am probably being dense and overlooking something obvious, but
why is it that the "up command" iface option doesn't work?  Is it
some sort of timing or sequence issue?
