Hi man,
Sometimes modems are reseted by SNMP command. Look at your device
specifications if it support snmp. Than you can try to find right MIB file
descripting implemented variables in your device. Very often you can reset
device by SNMP set to some variables.

Best Regards

P.S.: Hope it will work. (A doufám že to bude funfovat :-) )

Subject: [leaf-user] reseting modem remotely

I've found that the network card was really in full-duplex mode. So I
changed it a I'm going to try it at the router soon.

But another question: As I wrote, the cable modem isn't at my flat. And I
need to reset it remotely (if i want to experiment with my problem).
It means whithout switching the power of, only by network. Is it possible?
I'm sure that cable-provider is able to restart them remotely. So it must be
teoreticaly possible from my side.

Does somebody know how to make it?

Thanks, Vasek.
