I think I will put switch right after modem and connect my son's computer directly to internet and second ip will go to Bering box and from there via hub to my computer. This will give me ability to connect more computers if I need to my hub and also I'll have one computer with direct connection and external ip on its eth0.(for passive ftp, ICQ file transfer etc...)
Andrey
Thanks for help

I'm running Bering and 2 computers behind Bering firewall. I'm thinking

switch between modem and both computers and put small firewalls right on
them? Andrey Holub

To be able to use both IP addresses for internal systems, you would have to configure the Bering box as a bridge rather than a router. While it should be possible to use Shorewall in a bridged configuration, as far as I'm aware there is no documentation about how to do so.
