So I still don't understand what the failure is here.My ftp server runs fine for anybody who is on computer not behind the firewall. If they are behind firewall that's the different story. Thanks
If they are behind your firewall and are using the internal IP address of the FTP server to connect to, then Shorewall isn't involved at all! If they are behind your firewall and are using the external IP of your firewall to connect to, then that's Shorewall FAQ #2 (http://www.shorewall.net/FAQ.htm#faq2).
