Real bad if your using a Win2K/XP Pro workstation. When 2K first came out I added a couple of workstations to an existing NT Domain. I had so many problems like you are describing that I ended up throwing the Disks and licenses in the trash. It might be worth your time to read the submitted new rfc's for DNS and WINS that M$ has implemented with the newest OS's.
