Hi again, I'm going to attempt to create a CD/FDD Bering machine so I can fit ssh and VPN stuff on my machine. But I don't have the option to boot from a CD-ROM drive, so I'm gonna attempt to adapt the 2xFDD guide for a CD-ROM and an FDD I've not found a specific guide for this, so I have a few questions.
First off, what do I need to add to a clean Bering floppy to allow it to load LRP packages from the CD-ROM? Will just adding "PKGPATH=/dev/fd0u1680,/dev/hda" work? Or do I need some kind of IDE/CDROM modules? Does Linux require strict ISO9001 CD-ROMs? Is there any way of fooling the BIOS into booting from the CD-ROM? My boot options are the standard old C A A,C C,A No sign of CD-ROM/LS120/ZIP like on my newer machine :( Cheers again, Jim. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
