Hello, I had a power outage yesterday morning, my leaf box wasn't affected because it's on a UPS. However my external modem is connected to the surge protector part of the UPS, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working. It was working fine prior to the power outage.
I've plugged the modem in & the power light comes on. When I reboot the leaf box, during POST 2 lights flash - Auto Answer & Carrier Detect if I remember correctly. After that I get nothing. Typing 'pon' which should dial the modem doesn't do anything, however when checking /var/log/ppp.log it lists 'date time firewall chat[18478]:' on each line then - abort on (BUSY) abort on (NO CARRIER) abort on (VOICE) abort on (NO DIALTONE) abort on (NO ANSWER) send (ATZ^M) expect (OK) ATZ^M^M ERROR^M is there any way to figure out whether ppp0 is pointing to the wrong place or determine whether nothing is being sent to the modem or not?
