I'm using a Disk-On-Chip 2000 and have followed the Bering user's guide for setting up a Bering installation to boot off it.
When I load the suggested modules, all appears to go well until the nftl module. The nftl module produces an error message as follows:
"Sorry, we don't support UnitSizeFactor of != 1 yet."
I've tried completely erasing the DOC (using M-System's dformat utility) then using the linux fdisk to format the chip, but fdisk can't open the device to play with it. When fdisk'ed via MS-DOS FDisk, the UnitSizeFactor error returns when Bering is loaded again.
I think that using the nftl_format program to format the DOC may solve my problem, but I haven't found an LRP package that provides the linux-MTD utilities (yet). Anyone know if I'm on the right track?
Thanks, Peter.
