hi Erich

well I did already follow the

Bering Installation Guide and the

3.5. Step 4: configure pcmcia (as you were suggesting) but..

once I found:

3.5. Step 4: configure pcmcia

Once your package is ready, enter the LEAF Package configuration menu and choose
pcmcia. The following menu will appear

                         pcmcia configuration files

         1) pcmcia default parameters
         2) pcmcia configuration
         3) wireless configuration

   q) quit

well I ain't got that menu !

and further on looking at:

Entry 1) allows to edit the /etc/default/pcmcia file which defines the pcmcia
parameters that will be used by the cardmgr program and the /etc/init.d/pcmcia script.

again I haven't got /etc/default/pcmcia file _nor_ /etc/init.d/pcmcia script

   in my Bering floppy.

I did find them into pcmcia.lrp

but I can't find any info on how to load the whole

pcmcia.lrp

or just those missing files.

Any suggestion on where to find info on that ?

many thanks

Roberto

PS i tried to copy them (not pcmcia.lrp) into Bering floppy, but no menu appearing
and no change in boot messages.

PPS the card LEDs stay always on when working in WIn95 and the cards take INT 3,9.
